Hoyer Sends Letter to USCIS Director Cissna Urging Him to Cancel Meeting with Hate Group

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) sent a letter to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Lee Francis Cissna urging him to cancel his scheduled appearance to deliver remarks at an event hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which has been cited as an “anti-immigrant hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Director Cissna is expected to join the group tomorrow, August 15.
