West Coast Democratic Congressman in Democratic Leadership on the Energy and Commerce Committee seeks a highly motivated, detail oriented and resourceful Legislative Assistant to handle the Criminal Justice, Civil Rights, Infrastructure & Transportation, Defense, Veterans portfolio, among other issues, in a fun, fast-paced office. Duties include formulating legislative initiatives, tracking legislation, monitoring legislative developments within committee, conducting research, and meeting with stakeholders. Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills are necessary. Previous Hill experience, a diverse background, and a public policy background are preferred.
