WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after failed Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad was sentenced to life in prison by a federal court:
“Today’s sentencing sends a strong and unequivocal message to terrorists that they will be held accountable for their actions, and that they will not win.  Democrats are keeping Americans safe by using every tool available to stop, kill and capture terrorists.  The sentence handed down today was a victory for the American people, and we will continue to take the fight to the terrorists and strengthen our national security.”
