WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today regarding next week’s schedule for the U.S. House of Representatives:
“The House will now reassemble on Monday at 2:00 p.m. for legislative business, with votes at 6:30 p.m.
“While we were not originally scheduled to be in session on Monday, we will be here to continue our work on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to address the extraordinary economic crisis facing our nation.
“I hope the Senate completes work on its version of economic recovery legislation quickly so that we can get a final bill to President Obama as soon as possible. And I hope Republicans will continue to work with us in the constructive manner that this urgent situation requires.”
