WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today regarding the schedule for the U.S. House of Representatives this spring and summer:
“After passing major legislation through Congress already this year, our Committees are continuing work on critical legislation that will be considered later this spring and summer. To accommodate this work, the House of Representatives will be in session two additional days that were not on the calendar: Friday, June 19, and Monday, July 13. The House will not be in session on Friday, April 24, as originally scheduled. Adding these days will allow us time to work through the appropriations process and other important legislation that the House will be considering this year.”
