WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement after the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct announced that prior to the passage of H. Res. 500, the Committee had already begun a review into allegations pertaining to the PMA Group:

“I am pleased that the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct has responded so quickly to the resolution passed by the House last week.  As I have stated consistently, the Committee can and must review substantive ethics allegations that are raised in the public sphere, including those made about the PMA Group.  The statement released tonight shows that the Committee is doing that.  I have confidence in Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren, Ranking Member Jo Bonner, and the Members of the Ethics Committee to review this matter thoroughly and take all appropriate actions.”
