Democrats are continuing to work to create jobs and get Americans back to work. While we understand that unemployment numbers are still far too high, job losses are continuing to improve from where they were a year ago. The following graph shows how in 5 quarters, we went from an average loss of 726,000 jobs in a quarter to an average loss of 35,000. There is volatility in month-to-month numbers, so using a three-month average presents a clearer indication of the trends in the U.S. labor market.
