Another day, another shutdown threat...

We know there’s a lot going on this morning, but don’t let this one pass you by. Once again, President Trump is admitting he is prepared to shut down unified Republican government over his costly, ineffective border wall. From Politico:

“Nine days ahead of a deadline that could trigger a partial government shutdown, with no solution in sight, the president told POLITICO in a Tuesday Oval Office interview that he is unflinchingly firm Congress must send him a bill approving $5 billion for his wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, and said he would ‘totally be willing’ to shut down the government if he doesn't get it.”

Totally willing to furlough public servants who ensure the well-being and security of the American people.
Totally willing to put America’s credibility on the line.
Totally willing to disrupt government over a wall his own Chief of Staff said “will not do the job.”
