When President Obama took the oath of office in January, he pledged to work with Congress to address the challenges facing our nation and make the tough decisions necessary to ensure that our economy is strong for years to come. Fifty-three days into his Presidency, we have already enacted recovery legislation providing middle-class tax cuts, aid to states, and investments in national priorities, from roads and bridges to energy independence. While it will be months before we see this bill’s full impact on the economy, we are already seeing some jobs being created or saved to put Americans back to work.
Read more about the jobs being created and saved around the nation as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
