Mr. Speaker, I was proud to join many Members of this House in Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery, Alabama, from March 6th to 8th to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of ‘Bloody Sunday,’  which lead inexorably to the signing of the Voting Rights Act in August of that same year in 1965.

I think [Senate Republicans’ letter to Iran] was ill-advised. It was sophomoric in many ways, and I that think it gave comfort to our enemies and pause to our allies.
