Why House Republicans Support a Middle Class Tax Increase
From the Democratic Whip Press Shop:
This pretty much speaks for itself:
“The fourth-ranking House Republican argued Tuesday that a two-month extension of the payroll tax cut ‘would do more harm than good.’ Rep. Jeb Hensarling (Texas), the chairman of the House Republican Conference, said the two-month extension, approved in an 89-10 Senate vote, would do more harm because of the burden it would place on payroll software companies.”
Yup, you read that right: Republicans are more worried about the burden on payroll software companies than the burden of a tax increase on middle class families. Can’t wait to hear them explain that one.
