MESSAGE FROM THE MAJORITY LEADER

I am proud to report that the '100 Hours Agenda' reached a successful conclusion yesterday evening.  Over the past two weeks, we have passed legislation that will strengthen our national security, raise the minimum wage, expand stem cell research, lower prescription drug prices, make college more affordable, and increase our energy independence.  All of these measures are supported by the American people, and will positively impact their lives.

I am particularly proud of the way the People's House put progress before partisanship, with an average of 62 Republicans supporting each of the bills of the '100 Hours Agenda.'  This gives me hope that there can be real cooperation between Democrats and Republicans so that we may continue our record of achievement over the next two years.

These 100 hours are the foundation of a new Congress, one that will put the people, and their priorities, first.

With kind personal regards, I am
Sincerely yours,
Steny H. Hoyer
