Hoyer: Second Session to Continue Moving America in a New Direction
On the first day of the Second Session of the 110th Congress, Hoyer reiterated that Democrats will continue to fight for America's priorities in 2008, and called on Republicans and Democrats to work together to achieve progress and change.

Hoyer on Economic Stimulus Developments
Following a conference call with President Bush and Congressional leadership, Hoyer said he was encouraged by the broad agreement on the need for an economic stimulus package, and expressed his hope that everyone will work together quickly to produce a bipartisan proposal.

Hoyer on New Report Regarding Possible Economic Stimulus
In response to a report issued by the Congressional Budget Office, Hoyer said that the report supported the principle that any economic stimulus must be timely, temporary and targeted in order to be effective.
