Hoyer Statement on Senate Passage of the Small Business Lending Act

WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after the Senate passed the Small Business Lending Act:

 

“The Small Business Lending Act that passed the Senate today is a critical part of Democrats’ efforts to keep creating jobs and strengthening the economy.  I’m disappointed that only two Republicans stood with us in support of small businesses, who need access to capital to grow and add more jobs.  While Republicans want to take us back to the failed Bush economic policies that led to the deepest recession in a generation, Democrats are fighting to move our country forward.  I expect to bring it the House Floor for a vote soon.”
