WASHINGTON, DC – Katie Grant, spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, released the following statement today:

“Majority Leader Hoyer, through both his words and actions, has always made it clear that the bipartisan Ethics Committee should take all appropriate action regarding the allegations against former-Rep. Massa.

“In addition, Leader Hoyer has moved to strengthen protections for staff in the wake of this incident. Republicans should put their energy into working with us in a bipartisan way on this effort and allow their Republican colleagues to work with Democrats on the bipartisan Ethics Committee without any more partisan grandstanding.”
