Hoyer to Senate Republicans: Stop Blocking Help for Doctors and Seniors

 

"Earlier this week, the House passed the Medicare Improvements bill with overwhelming bipartisan support to ensure that seniors continue to have access to the care they need.  Following a vote of 355 to 59, the House need not and will not act again on this legislation. The Senate must quickly pass this critical bill. 

 

"Senate Republicans are stubbornly standing in the way - even though it received the support of 129 of their colleagues including members of the House GOP Leadership.

 

“The July 1 deadline is looming and it is time for the partisan games to come to an end.  Otherwise, Senate Republicans will have to explain to their constituents why they alone stood in between seniors and their doctors.”
