Hoyer: House Passes Temporary Extension of Unemployment and Health Benefits

 

“A temporary extension of unemployment and health benefits is vital to help the many families who are still struggling as the economy starts to recover from the recession.  It is unfortunate that Senate Republicans delayed getting assistance to Americans who need it, but this bill is now on its way to the President for his signature.  These benefits will help both Americans who are out of work and our economy as a whole, as money is spent quickly.”
