WASHINGTON – House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (MD) met with senior executives from the semiconductor industry today to discuss progress on the FSC/ETI legislation and other important issues.  Representative Hoyer released the following statement after the meeting:

“I was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet with senior executives of the semiconductor industry today.

“We discussed issues such as the need for quick passage of a bipartisan FSC/ETI bill and for an extension of the Research and Development tax credit, which are both important to the semiconductor industry and the business community as a whole.

“House Democrats are committed to bipartisan, common-sense and responsible approaches to FSC and the R & D tax credit extension, and to policies that are friendly to job creation and American business in general.

“I look forward to working with members of the semiconductor industry further on issues of common interest.”
