“God Help Us”
While Republicans continue to praise the reckless, irrational sequester, the American people continue to protest these indiscriminate across-the-board cuts. According to a new poll:
“Americans are more likely to describe the sequester negatively, a new Gallup poll reports.”
“The survey found that, when asked the open-ended question of how they would describe the self-imposed federal budget cuts 44 percent responded using negative words and phrases such as ‘bad,’ ‘disaster,’ and ‘God help us.’“
The idea that Republicans are out of touch is nothing new, but maybe it’s time they rethink applauding a policy that people describe as “trouble” and “stupid.”
