H.R. 830 , The FHA Refinance Program Termination Act (Rep. Dold – Financial Services) H.R. 830 would rescind all remaining funds made available for the FHA Refinance Program. The bill would terminate the entire FHA Refinance Program, allowing for no other refinancing opportunities through this program, except it would allow for current participants to continue in the program, as long as they have received funds prior to enactment of the bill.   

H.R. 830 seeks to eliminate the FHA Refinance program but it contains no plan for helping distressed homeowners who are ‘underwater’. H.R. 830 also contains no plan to create jobs, which has become a pattern for the new Majority.  

There were 15 amendments submitted for H.R. 830 for printing in the Congressional Record. There were only 3 amendments submitted for H.R. 836 , which will be considered tomorrow.
